Home ed art club
Home ed art club runs at Milestone Gallery in New Mills on a fortnightly basis. Each session is 1.5hrs long, and can be attended as a single session, although a 20% discount is given for those who book all 4 sessions together. These sessions are for any child who loves being creative and exploring all types of art. We will be using a range of art materials, usually following a different theme each 'term' (although these are designed to be attended as a one off without needing to have attended previous/follow up sessions) and occasionally abandoning this theme for specific events happening in or around the area. Previously this has seen all children creating art to enter for Hayfield Pro Loco, creating posters for the One World Festival in New Mills, or painting footprint decorations for The Tent People festivals. Children will learn techniques and develop their art skills as well as their confidence. From painting, drawing and sketching to sculpting and model making, each child will learn techniques suitable for their age and ability. Children can bring their own snacks with them to eat at the start of the session whilst we discuss what we will be doing. Artist Pippa is DBS checked and has an appropriate level of First Aid training. All sessions are designed and planned by artist Pippa Hicks. A sibling discount has also been applied as well as the discount for booking all 4 sessions. If you have more than 3 children that would like to attend please let me know so I can add this option too.
